The Klovićevi dvori Gallery in Zagreb has announced an exhibition dedicated to Josip Restek, one of the most important Croatian graphic artists of the 20th century, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth. The exhibition will include a wide oeuvre of Restek’s works, from lyrical abstractions to masterpieces in the technique of intaglio printing. Restek’s life and work have been recognized internationally, and his works represent the pinnacle of Croatian modernist graphic expression. The curator of the exhibition, Petra Vugrinec, points out that visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse graphic techniques that Restek perfected during his stay in Paris and other European art centers.
